The Most Dangerous & Difficult Racing Circuits Ever

You are sitting, amongst the crowd, and you can feel the excitement charging up the air. And then suddenly, Wham! One careless mistake, one wrong turn and the rider crashes.

When they say that Motorcycle Racing is dangerous, they are not kidding. It is, in fact, very dangerous. Breakneck speeds and two wheels is not a very safe combination. But it is a passion for some, who are out there, risking their lives each day, for that adrenaline rush that propels them towards victory.

It is not just the motorcycles and high speeds that make motorcycle racing dangerous. The Race Track also has a huge hand in making this sport dangerous. And there are some circuits that are considered the most dangerous ones. And they live up to their titles. We bring to you, the three most dangerous racing circuits, in no particular order.

1. Isle of Man

A small island off the coast of Britain, this island has one of the oldest Race tracks in the world and also the most dangerous, the Snaefell Mountain Course. This racetrack is also home to the most prestigious of motorcycle races, the Isle of Man Tourist Trophy (TT). Driven by the passion to gain glory and win in the absolute pinnacle of motorcycle races, all sensible thoughts are left behind by the racers. With just the end in sight, they push harder and harder until they win. And adding fuel to this dangerous fire are the dangerous courses on the Isle of Man. If bikers are not speeding along on the Snaefell Mountain Course and its single track country lanes, then they are coursing through the narrow streets, with stone buildings flanking either side. Which means there is absolutely no room for error. Because if you err, you are either falling off a cliff, or crashing into a stone building.

2. Nürburgring - Germany

The Nürburgring was built as the first racing track for Germany, widely known as “The Green Hell”. Surrounded by a forest, with winding uphill and downhill roads and sharp curves testing the nerve of every racer setting foot on this track. The original track had 4 configurations, each notorious for its own level of danger. Changing weather and punishing roads made up for exciting races on “The Ring”. Imagine racing down a steep slope, at a speed unimaginable, and it starts to rain. There is no room for errors on the Nürburgring.

3. Guia Circuit - Macau Grand Prix

The Macau Grand Prix stands today as the only street circuit racing event. The Guia Circuit is where the Fast Paced action of the Macau Grand Prix takes place. And it is as dangerous as any of the circuits mentioned above. And just as unforgiving. Known for its unique combination of motorcycle and car races held within the same race weekend, this circuit has also remained untouched, with no modifications to the track since its inception. A long straight stretch and deadly tight corners make this street circuit notoriously famous. Considered as one of the most challenging and difficult circuits in the racing world, cars & motorcycles, with limited overtaking opportunities, straight stretches and twisting roads and corners, all in one. It has to be a brave heart and fearless mind that can race on the Guia Circuit.
